A Message to YOUNG ACTORS

What We Expect From You:

Offbeat Talent Agency works for you, but you need to keep up your end of the bargain. Here are some things we expect of you:

*Continue your education as an actor. This means taking workshops, working with acting coaches, etc. Many well-known, successful actors continue to work with acting coaches and work on developing their craft. You should be doing so as well.

*To get work on your own. Don't tread in turf we may be already covering though. When you do get work, let us know and we will negotiate the deal if it is a paying job. If you are a non-union actor, seek work in independent films, audition for plays, etc. In general, let us know what you are doing and how we can work together to make it happen for you.

*Audition well. Know how to audition and practice your auditioning skills if need be. Know how to cold read properly. Know how to handle the questions that may come up in an audition, like "tell me about you", etc. we don't expect every audition to be prefect, but we are representing you we expect you to be able to audition well.

*Be On Time and Don't Miss Auditions. This is VERY important. Casting directors have little time to spare when conducting auditions. They tend to have tight schedules. If you show up late or not at all, you are wasting their valuable time. Not only do you look bad (and might not ever set foot in that casting office again), but it reflects poorly upon Offbeat Talent Agency.

*Be Reachable. How can we book you for auditions or jobs if we can never get in touch with you? Make sure you have an answering machine, voicemail, cellular phone, pager, etc. We should be able to talk to you in person in less than 30 minutes from their first call.

*Be Available. If you are never available to actually go on auditions or jobs, you are just wasting our time and the time of the casting directors who may have called us to book you.
